Capturing the Bristol Cider Festival: A Celebration of Cider, Community & Good Times

There’s nothing quite like a Bristol summer event, and the Bristol Cider Festival was the perfect example of how great atmosphere, good company and plenty of cider can come together to create an unforgettable day.

SD Photography had the pleasure of capturing the event, documenting everything from the lively atmosphere and festival setup to the people enjoying themselves throughout the day.

A Day Full of Energy

The festival brought together cider lovers, friends and families for a day of tasting, socialising and enjoying the atmosphere. With plenty happening throughout the event, there were countless opportunities to capture natural and authentic moments.

Our aim was to photograph the event as it happened rather than simply focusing on posed photographs. From friends enjoying a drink together to the smaller details that made the festival unique, we wanted the final collection to tell the story of the day.

Capturing the Atmosphere

Event photography is about more than simply taking photographs. It’s about capturing the feeling of an occasion so that people can look back and remember exactly what made the day special.

Throughout the Bristol Cider Festival, we focused on capturing:

• Guests enjoying the festival atmosphere
• Friends and families spending time together
• Cider, food and festival details
• Natural reactions and candid moments
• The venue and event setup
• The overall atmosphere and character of the festival

These natural moments are often some of our favourite photographs because they capture people exactly as they were.
